Tour Description
This scenic Hobart City tour will take you through the city’s amazing historical and modern sites via coach tram. You’ll enjoy five stops along the way at some of Hobart’s most interesting locations.

Departing from Brooke Street Pier, Hobart, at 9:30 am, you’ll meet your friendly and experienced local guide and fellow passengers, hop aboard a coach tram and set off on your Hobart adventure. With informative commentary throughout, you’ll see some amazing sights from Hobart’s most interesting locations, including gardens, galleries, old and new architecture and more. Along your journey, you’ll enjoy five stops so that you can learn more about the selected areas and take some memorable photos. These stops are Anglesea Barracks, the lovely Cascade Gardens, the historic Female Factory, Rosny Hill lookout – where you’ll gain scenic views over Hobart, Sandy Bay, Mt Wellington, The Tasman Bridge and Glenorchy – as well as The Royal Tasmania Botanical Gardens, where you’ll be able to see ‘Pete’s Vegie Patch’, which was popularised by Peter Cundall of ABC’s Gardening Show fame.
The stops and highlights of this tour include:
o Sullivan’s Cove – the ferry terminal and the birthplace of Hobart
o The stunning architecture of Parliament House, built in 1841
o Salamanca Place – with its amazing restaurants, pubs and galleries all restored from Georgian-style warehouses
o Princes Park – once a gun battery, but now a gorgeous place for a picnic
o Battery Point – full of charm with its historical homes, restaurants, pubs and shops
o St. George’s Anglican Church, built in 1838
o Views over Sandy Bay
o St. David’s Park, a serene walled parkland
o Mt. Wellington and South Hobart
o The iconic Cascade Brewery, where you’ll stop at Cascade Gardens
o Stop at The Female Factory – an historic prison for females
o St. David’s Cathedral, completed in 1936
o The iconic sandstone Treasury Building, completed in 1864

o Hobart Town Hall, completed in 1866
o The Penitentiary Chapel
